My family lived in Germany when I was growing up, so we all speak at least a little German and are intimately familiar with the quirks of German pronunciation. When I told them about this, they loved it.
Mikey thought it was hilarious, too, mostly because the rest of us did. He went around all day shouting, "We're sinking, we're sinking!"
Of course, he lisps his S's, as six-year-olds do, so it came out, "We're thinking!" The rest of us found this predictably amusing.
