Sayaka is still the best character. AND I AGREE, Junko is a pretty great mum! ALSO THAT REVEAL WITH SAYAKA AND THE SOUL GEM SHOCKED ME SO BAD THE FIRST TIME I SAW THIS SERIES.
I don't know why, but I expected people not to like Sayaka that much. Thank you for proving me wrong <3
The reveal horrified me the first time, and in retrospect it just adds so many layers to the horror inflicted by Kyubey on the girls. His words clearly state that Madoka, Kyoko and Sayaka are not the first to find out about the consequences of their transformation, and that ALL girls reacted with anguish, anger or dispair. So some of Kyubey's victims suffered an extra blow on top of the nightmare they found themselves trapped in.
And Kyubey is such a sick mothefucker. He has been with humanity since the beginning, he knows very well why on a logical, objective level, a human would react in such a manner to his reveal. He says he can't understand it in the sense that he cannot feel the emotions backing this reaction up, but I really hate how incredibly condescending he is, acting like their feelings are silly.
