It's great to see that you're back and I'm glad that your time away has been fruitful! I can't wait to see the new sporking material you'll be bringing now that you'll have time to publish stuff again!
I had kind of assumed that with your sporking of SephirothSlave's works complete, you had lost interest in continuing the journal. I'm glad to see you're back!
Any particular fandoms we should focus on when challenging you?
Noo, we've been thinking of sporking on. I think one thing that discouraged us was the fact that we couldn't find a story as bad as Slave's, so after many attempts and countless pages of badfic (seriously, we combed fanfiction.net, the Bastion of Questionable Sanity and other Mary Sue resources until we were crying in a corner) we began thinking there was no story quite as terrible. I'm sure I'm wrong!
When we release the official post with the challenges, we will include a list of all the fandoms we are familiar with :)
Yeah, I dabbled in sporking for a bit over at Das-Sporking. I always wanted to find a good, horrid Sue, like Julia or Rose Potter, but it's tricky. To me, at least, it's a combination of three things: 1) Length. Few Suethors have the stamina that SephirothSlave and Halcyon do. 2) Quality. It has to be bad enough to be entertaining, but not so bad as to be unreadable. 3) Plot. Even if you have the first two, something that keeps going on about the same points over and over again will become too boring to keep sporking. SephirothSlave's plot might have been vapid and fallacious, but at least it kept things moving. I never did find one that really hit all three points, but I'm sure they're out there.
