Ahaha, that was awesome x'D Especially the fake magazine cover! And geez, talk about a freakin' overreaction... I can get being embarrassed, but trying to beat the poor guy up? Just when I think I can't hate Julia any more... Anyway, awesome job and good luck with this nonsense <3

The cover was so much fun to do! We worked through Skype and after we brainstormed for ideas, I spent the next hour saying "To the right. No, to the left! Two pixels down. Maybe an inch next to her elbow? How about we cut the preposition? Oh, try placing it in that corner. Hmmmmmm. No. Put it back again."

Seeing how Jay is literally half blind, I think he deserves a medal and a big hug. The only thing I did aside brainstorming was selecting Tifa's picture and placing the Playboy logo on the magazine. It was tons of fun.

It sure looks like it was! Haha, well it turned out good in the end, and you guys had fun, and that's the main thing, right?

Wow, definitely! He did a good job! It's nice to hear that it was fun to do ^^ Sometimes even just doing stuff like that with your friends is great!

...I will never understand why people find such over dramatic, exaggerated reactions of rage funny. I can kind of get it in anime, or manga as it's a visual media and you need to convey a lot with images. But with narration it always comes off as trite and dull to me.

If it's in character? Sure, but even then I'd be leery of overdoing it and Sephirothslave certainly doesn't have the writing skills to make it interesting.

On the other hand, that magazine cover is amazing!

Sephirothslave's notion of humour seems to stem from visual media alone. She's trying to recreate funny scenes she saw in films or anime without adapting them at all to the written medium. It's no surprise that her results are less than stellar.

I love that cover to bits. Brainstorming for titles was a load of fun.

The fact that she's running around swinging a giant sword without her towel dropping also reeks strongly of anime (although in most anime scenes like that, the girl usually has one hand holding the towel in place).

I do believe that Sephirothslave fails to realize that a platoon - or what would constitute as a platoon in this shit fic of hers - shower together... Meaning Julia-Bitch-Sue would have a problem training with all males - this is why they separate males and females into separate platoons in Boot Camp for this sole purpose as after Basic Training its up to the solider to keep up with hygiene codes ( ... )

Even ignoring how actual platoons work, let's look at Julia's situation:
She's sharing a tiny room with three men.
She's presumably sharing a bathroom with every man on the first floor.
There's no shower curtain.

The logical (funny word that) conclusion here is that she is expected to surrender her feminine modesty as far as her squadmates go (and they their masculine modesty where she's concerned), that she should be able to shower, change, etc. in front of the guys as easily as they do in front of each other.

Of course, that's all going on the assumption that Shinra is trying to instil discipline in their soldiers. But Sephirothslave seems to think military organizations prefer chaotic behavior instead.

She shares a room and a bathroom with three other men. The bathroom is inside the room and it has a door. The shower curtain is missing, and it's a simple plot device to create more drama.

I missed that. Given the tiny room, I figured that multiple rooms were sharing one bathroom. Hell, my freshman dorm was 5 times as big, but we still shared a bathroom with the rest of the hall.

"A peeping tom, eh?" The second said. "Well, that's not a very honorable pastime..."

*Stares, opens mouth, then closes it*

...WHAT. You're saying that to Zack Fair? You are CLAIMING that ZACK FAIR has no honor?

I really, really hate to steal from Mervin on this, but I'm so angry right now.

FUCK. YOU. WHORE!

That is NOT Zack Fair, it's Bob Moore, Hairy Stu extraordinaire. Don't get them confused, Zack Fair doesn't even appear in these stories.

True. I'm sorry, I suppose all the stupid gave me the Confusion status ailment and I momentarily mixed them up.

Won't happen again, I can assure you.

Put on your thinking caps, boys and girls! It's Math Time!
::recorded sounds of children cheering play::
The room is stated to be ten feet by ten feet.
A quick check to the Final Fantasy wikipedia lists the buster sword's length at five to six feet.
So, kids, if Julia's standing in the middle of the room, where does Bob need to stand in order to not get hit by the sword?
...
If you answered "outside the room" give yourself a pat on the back.

Seriously, though. Given that the beds in the room probably take up about half the space, there's not enough room to actually chase somebody, even if you didn't have a giant sword.

The author fails to understand that the Buster Sword is unique so perhaps she is thinking of swords of a different length. You do make an excellent point, though.

The length of the sword is almost irrelevant at this point. If you had a three foot sword, and let's say your arm adds about a foot to the length of your swing, that's still more than enough to trap someone in the corner with little difficulty.

Even barehanded, there's not enough room there to evade someone. She just doesn't realize how minuscule she's made the room.
