Mother's Day

Monica and I went to Aunt Pam's for lunch and hung around with her and Uncle Bill, Julie, Tommy, Uncle Beakie, and grandmama with dad. We had honeyed ham, mac-n-cheese, 7-layer salad, green goop, rolls, brown rice, and green beans. It was good and filling. We then went over to granny and papa's house and sat around and talked with them and Aunt

My mom is... not my favorite person lately. It took me forever to find a card for her because I just kept reading card after card of "you're so wonderful and supportive and wise and kind" and thinking "nope, that is definitely not her". Even so, I can't imagine life without her and count myself lucky to have her around to gripe about - she's my mom, what can I say?

I can't imagine what you're going through, or how hard today must be for you. Treasure your memories and her wonderfulness - you had something that some never have.

Oh... and... WTB ham, mac & cheese and green goop (I LOVE green goop).

Today was super rough. :( I keep feeling like a failure of a daughter to both mom and dad by being here, so far from home, when I feel like everyone needs me. And I need them. And sitting here alone at the house most of the day just lets me sit and think and slowly fall apart.

This is why I want a cat so much, to keep me company and help keep me busy. And I miss my cats at home terribly. It's just so lonely here. But I don't think Mr. Richard, who is against us getting a cat, understands. I can't just sit around here. It hurts too much.

Oh, didn't get a chance to say it earlier, but thanks for your help with the quest earlier, though it ended as it did. I really appreciate it.

... Maybe sometime you and Monica can try to come up to visit? Depending on our financial situation, we'd be happy to help with tickets. This wouldn't be for a while since I'm not working, but it's a thought I had today.
