Thank you so much for the great comment. A lot of Googling has been involved in putting this together. I'm really glad you noticed the details I pout in about the shinigami. I really wanted to fill in a lot of blanks from my own headcanon. I would love for Toboso-sensei to go more into a lot of little details about the shinigami because they just fascinate me.

Writing all these guys to go through this sitiation and stay IC is a challenge and I'm really glad you see where I'm going with characterization. The reference to the accents made me happy; that's pretty much the dialogue that goes though my head when writing this. I'm semi-familiar with British dialect (from a distant Anglophile perspective) so I like having that in here as much as possible.

As for the punctuation, they don't stress the comma versus question mark in quotations even among English majors so I've used it interchangeable. You're right it does have more impact with the question mark. Thanks for the tip.
