Interesting video - good to finally see a lisp machine running. BTRON was interesting too - I first came across material on the TRON family is OSs years ago, but i guess it never got any traction outside of Japan. I vaguely remember at the time the specs were open in the sense that you could buy them.

Had never seen AS400 before either.

Yes. :-)

I suspect that probably a huge number -- maybe more than all x86 PCs ever made -- of electronics devices around the world run TRON or some variant, but their owners and users never know.

Yup.

And frankly it would need _compelling_ evidence to persuade me they have changed. I have seen none. I've just seen marketing.

And a lot of kids who don't remember the old MS who believe the marketing.

Some of whom are managers at places I've worked...
