So, I'd advise you have a better look at Rust, as it seems to have an interesting intersection of multiple of the angles you're looking at things here (and is my current favourite language, which does make me a bit biased, but hey ( ... )

Thanks, Tom -- very interesting!

I do need to read a bit more about Rust, but in my part of the world -- recently, learning about containers and so on -- Go seems far more popular and widely-used.

The OSes look fascinating. Thanks for the links!

I like the bus stop display very much and were I still in London, it'd have been an instant favourite bookmark -- as was http://www.traintimes.org.uk/
