Inspired by vaneramos I have chosen the word "Believe" for the coming year. I toyed with "Faith" for a bit, but something about it seems lacking. I have been forgiven for the indignity of clipping the cat's nails. There is something reassuring about this.

I just found out our library does ebooks! How cool is that?

The barbecue is fixed (finally!), but its now temperamental - the flames are *high* on high and still faily high on low, but it works. Tonight we h ad hamburgers. Mmmmm. Lick's hamburgers. A tiny bit burnt but still yummy. Tomorrow we have steak and mushrooms! MMMMMMM. Thick, juicy steak. I can't wait!

It was a hard decision to make, but it was time. He was crying when we picked him up and wasn't moving around much anymore. He'd hide in the basement or in the closet and just lie there all day. Today I had coffee with a friend I haven't seen in over twenty years. We reconnected over Facebook. It was a good time - not awkward at all. She lives out East so visiting again is limited, but we exchanged addresses and email. These days I've been wanting more connections with old friends. kidcanuck this means you! Heh. Small girl is still complaining of vague nausea. :( With the plague running around I can't really send her to school, and with her staying home I can't really bring her, so no yarn store and delicious coffee for me :( I is sad. Another time? I'm sure we could convince Ashley to let us knit with her when you've got another day off.
