So the Flash TV pilot has leaked online. I was going to wait until October to watch it because I bet the show creators are pretty angry about the leak, but EVERYBODY was spoiling it and I feared having the whole thing ruined by October anyway (as it was, I heard some pretty major spoilers in advance. Kind of annoying

I don't mind them filming there, although it will be a bit odd-looking to see Vancouver landmarks undisguised in the background. Not unlike seeing the ScotiaBank building in the middle of scenes of "Cylon-Occupied Caprica" on Galactica, as well as those rail yards in a few other episodes.
You'd think that they might set aside a few VFX $$$ for digitally disguising Vancouver a bit more, but I suppose the fight scenes will take up the bulk of that budget line item.

Yeah, I think they're going to have their budget full with superpowers. Barry's speed, Weather Wizard's weather effects -- and if Grodd ever appears. Geoff Johns has hinted at Captain Cold appearing soon, which is exactly what I'd expect from a show with Johns' creative input :>

I have my doubts either Roscoe or Lisa will appear in any recognizable form, TBH. Neither really lends themselves to TV. But I figured that ever since the show was announced, so it won't be a huge disappointment. (On the other hand, I didn't think they'd ever have Grodd, and he was strongly implied, so...)

Lisa would add another female character, but there's no way they'd go with the ice skater schtick (too weird and expensive). They might go with her New 52 powers, but that might be kind of tricky. I think she'd be unpowered...and might get fridged for Johns' beloved Len angst.
And given that Lisa now has a new relationship status quo, there's no reason to believe she'd be paired with Roscoe. She might be, since Johns is working on the show, but I doubt he cares whether she's with Roscoe or Sam. I'd bet they'd probably pair her with Sam >:( And that WILL piss me off.

But yeah, when I saw the guy playing Wells on the trailer, I instantly thought, "If I wanted water... I'd, you know, ASK for water."
And Vancouver stands in for everywhere. ;)

Deathstroke's powers seem to suggest the show is moving away from that concept -- although yes, they did come up with a fairly straight-forward explanation for that. I hope so, at any rate. I'm sure Suicide Squad will appear again, and it'd be nice to have some powered people there. That would add powers to the show without necessarily having the powered characters fight Oliver much.
I gotta wonder if Cavanagh gets tired of hearing about that, or if nobody really brings it up anymore :>
I miss the days when it was Toronto standing in all the time, but I guess there are still films/shows which are filmed here.
