i'm sorry to hear about your dad. hopefully it's a temporary thing.

at least stan's seems to be okay, maybe it was a one time scare.

and whoa, knitted lisa is huuuuge.
that with jen's lj account is weird - i thought if you wanted to delete and purge your lj, you needed to wait several days. you can delete it, but it won't be purged until 30 days later. but she has updated her tumblr since then.

do you know about http://www.dolldivine.com/ ?
it's my go-to address for dollmakers

Thank you :) I hope so...the doctor sent him off for a CAT scan and MRI this morning, so maybe we'll know more soon. Apparently he'd been downplaying his symptoms (or maybe forgot to mention them) to the doctor, and when my mother talked to her today, the doctor agreed it was very alarming ( ... )

hopefully the thing with your dad will require the less invasive procedure.

in case it makes you feel better, the lisa plushie is out of polyacrylic yarn so wash-machine safe....albeit not really for the dryer. don't know about the stuffing though...

lj is being very weird lately.

thanks for the link to the new site

He did, fortunately :) I'm very relieved.

That's good to know and I'll keep it in mind, thanks! Although blood is pretty tricky to get off any fabric. The other day I was eating snacks from a bag, and the bag felt wet and I discovered there was blood all over the place but I hadn't noticed -- that's what I worry about.

It does seem to be. My paid account expired the day after the site came back from those several days' downtime around my birthday. In the past, they'd always credited paid users with a few days of paid time if the site went down for a bit, but nothing happened this time. Then two weeks later, they suddenly informed me my paid account was being restored for a month. It's never taken them that long before, and they've never given so much extra time before.

I was, fortunately -- LJ was being weird, and Jen didn't delete her account at all (though if you look above, there's still a strikethrough on her name). The Tumblr follower was silent for weeks and I feared the worst, but she suddenly popped up again after a month's absence. Such a relief.
