This is my first book review. I decided to start doing these on occasion, and I have chosen to review this book first for a couple of reasons. First, no book has inspired the way I think about literature or any other art as much as this book. Good reveiw. I'm glad you did it. But the fact that even you haven't done Lewis justice (to my mind) emphasizes to me what a writer he was. I honestly believe that anyone at all who wants to think about art and criticism should be required to read and wrestle with this book directly, not just by reading a review.

But maybe you've hooked some people. =)

I'd like to see the other reviews.

I think this was one of my longest entries ever, but no, I did not even scratch the surface of his experiment. He is so concise, yet so complex; it's really amazing to me.
