I finished the book - liked it a lot! Maybe except the way Thetis is painted here ;-) I rather liked her before.... But it is a great fresh look at the story from an unusual inside POV.

I'm just *fascinated* by novels like that these are...I'm not quite sure what to call them...historical or literary fanfic. How did you discover this, do you mind if I ask? M.

Indeed, literary fanfic is exactly what it is...really really quality, too.
I wish I had some academic-minded story about the way I found this book, but actually I randomly bought it at Costco based on reading the cover as I walked by. Just jammed it in the cart along with the giant box of granola bars. Heh. Good things can be found in surprising places, I suppose.
