This is totally, totally lovely. It's delightful, I've had such a blast reading it, thank you. What stands out for me is how good friends Jon and Stephen are. You draw their friendship with such warmth and honesty. It's just great to read.
I really love the fandom, so if you'd ever like recs, feel free to hit me up. I can also understand liking to just occasionally dip your toes in and wander away, but I'm such an enabler I can't help but offer. *g*
"But this country isn't comprised entirely of straight, pasty white, ultra-religious Christians," Jon said, and he'd meant to be at least a little funny, but he couldn't help himself. Only a few months of frustration (or, looked at more broadly, a lifetime) of frustration, and he was ready to boil over. "I mean, I'm a secular, bisexual Jew, and I'm pretty damn sure I live here, too."
OMG. ILU.
I have no idea why the hell you were so worried about this, it all fell together beautifully, and I loved every scene - all the quiet moments building up to this kind of consensus in Jon's head, and your Tracey was brilliant, and the way you explored Stephen's reaction was just bloody brilliant.
*zaps your low-self-esteem* There. Fixed that for you.
