Though I've read some Redwall, I don't know these characters at all (bloody great lot of books, there are!). But this was just lovely. It had a definite feeling similar to the books and I love the simple way you had of Riffle & Turry being together. If that makes sense. Nice job.

My knowledge of canon is incredibly outdated, and I don't think I recognized any of these characters besides Cregga.

BUT. It was very in-keeping with what I do remember of canon, and the feel of the stories. Well done!

The thought of how a gay couple would be reacted to in the Abbey has actually occurred to me too, but I don't believe I ever saw anyone explore it in fic.

Ahh wow, The Long Patrol is possibly one of my favourite of the Redwall Books, so it's quite interesting to see it approached from this angle :)
