Rest in Peace, Alberta Watson

I'm not sure if this post is allowed here, but I didn't know where else to go to express my sadness at the loss of Alberta Watson. I loved her character, Madeline, dearly and truly respect the strength Alberta had to battle cancer for so long ( Read more... )

I have two favorite Alberta moments.

The first is in Three-Eyed Turtle before it was revealed that it was a ruse. I remember George offering her the Sections and she just put on her sunglasses and looked at him. And I thought she would win it all and I realized how much I wanted her to. :-)

The second is in the series, Law and Order, the original one. I forget who Alberta was even portraying but she was definitely a suspect and I remember her in a short skirt with these endless legs, so much that one of the characters even commented on her legs.

She always looked fabulous.

Thank you for your response. It is a very sad loss. But what a fighter. I respect the hell out of her.

I read about her yesterday and I was very saddened.

Madeline was the role model for today's ice-cold-take-no-prisoners-kick-ass-bitch-boss. She was ruthless and we adored her for it.

She was a wonderful actress. I remember her fondly in Hackers and on 24. I read she was battling cancer while she was filming 24. I'd hoped she'd beaten it.

My thoughts go out to her family and friends.

omigoodness really? That's so sad - I didn't even know she was sick. Madeline was such a dynamic badass, Alberta will be missed.

She'd been battling cancer for years. I think Alberta was a badass too.

I'll miss her.
