The genres can blend! Pick whichever you are most comfortable working with! Angst is my roots. I will never not love truly heartbreaking stories and dire situations.

I'm currently leaning ever so slightly towards Team Angst, especially since I found out that it doesn't HAVE to end angsty, because I'm still in that honeymoon phase were everything is just magically okay in the end, and yes, okay, maybe feelings got hurt, maybe they said things, BUT THEY ARE IN LOVE.

See my idea of romance is that they develop feelings and fall in love. It has a more ... growing nature to it.

In angst, I feel like they deal with the extreme hardships of finding out they are already in love. It's less about growing into the feelings then smacking right into a wall of emotion.

Also, hurt/comfort. How can you go wrong with angsty h/c?
