Hahahha, I'm really glad you thought they were in character. I try. I try really hard to not go overboard with Eames' endearments, or his joking. And I try to not make Arthur too flat and actually a stick in the mud. I mean his response, "I'd never wear a prom dress," is dry sarcasm which, in my opinion, he would be would be brilliant at.

I have a healthy respect for some tropey things, but in my head canon Eames is mostly reserved, fairly quiet, very calculating, quick to action, very capable, and a little selfish.
