you already know about my sick obsession with love for Sara Bareilles, but I'd definitely put some of her songs in there: "Gravity" & "Basket Case" & "Undertow" & "Bluebird"

Then I'd need some Regina Spektor in there for you too. So "Us" fits nicely, unless you'd like "Raindrops" by her which is a beautiful song as well. "The Chain" by Ingrid Michealson too.

and because so far I've only given you female singers, I'd suggest Landon Pigg's "Perfectionist" because it's well... perfect. "Make It Mine" by Jason Mraz because he's flawless. "Sky" by Joshua Radin (featuring Ingrid Michealson) is gold.

hmmm, what else... "Hands Down" by Dashboard Confessional, "Rescue" by Seabird and "Don't Wake Me Up" by The Hush Sound because you need some band music too.

and to finish things up, "Brick By Brick" by Katy Perry. because, trust me.

Thanks, Der. I've heard of and love pretty much all the artists you recommended, but I'll definitely check out the others I don't know, as well as those SB songs you mentioned. You silly fanboy, you. xD

PERFECT time to ask. I would suggest some Matt Nathanson, I've been listening to Some Mad Hope (cd) and most if not all of the song have a sad vibe to the lyrics, but I just feel so relaxed and calm. He's got a really nice, even voice, and it just makes me happy in that calm sort of way.

As for upbeat, Introducing Me by Nick Jonas has a really upbeat tempo and the words are pretty random, and listening to it just makes me smile.

I hope this helps you out of that funk! And I'm really loving that picture. I'm not sure if I want that girl, or if I just want to be in her spot, to be honest :p

I loved Matt Nathanson's Come on (Get Higher) so I downloaded the CD--listening to Heartbreak World as I type! (:
Thank you, hun. It IS very melancholy, but on the same note, it has some lonely comfort to spare. ♥
(And my sister made me watch that Jonas song last night, despite my protests... I'm still not all that fond of his voice, but the actual song itself is really, really cutesy and adorable. xD)

I'm glad that you liked it!

(I...usually don't find Nick's voice all too enjoyable, but for some reason I really like it in this song...Oh well. I'm perfectly happy with liking it because it's so fun)

Somehow, I stumbled upon Old Yellow Bricks by Arctic Monkeys. I like it, and since you recommend it, I'll be sure to check out some of their other songs. (:

Thank you! The funk's pretty much dissipated, just a little lingering. But that's to be expected. It's a Sunday, and it's back to school tomorrow morning. Le sigh.

Re: SOMEHOW THIS PLAYLIST TURNED INTO "SONGS THAT REMIND ME OF PUCKURT" lezi September 12 2010, 15:56:58 UTC
I'm currently working my way through this lovely musical feast, but I just wanted to say that I love Ellie Goulding. More specifically, I loved Starry-Eyed. I never gave The Writer a fair chance until now, and I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to enjoying it.

THANK YOU HUN. ♥ Listening to these songs is the equivalent of a tight, warm hug. (:
