I know from experience, that there's nothing I can say that will make you feel better. Even the fact that you didn't know the new baby long doesn't change the fact that it still hurts, knowing that he'll never get to grow up and experience the world for all the wonder it holds.
I'm so very sorry for the tragedy you and your family are going through at the moment. When people tell you that the hurt fades in time, that one day you'll forget about it, they lie.
It's alright to grieve ten years down the road when you wake up and remember your baby cousin. It's all right to grieve if and when you have your first child.
All I can offer are internet hugs, and the promise that even in it's lowest points, life does get better.
Thank you, Lee, for your condolences and love. And your comment on grieving = ♥. Just what I needed to hear.
(You know, I miss talking to you! Even if you aren't a Puck/Kurt 'shipper anymore, it'd still be cool to talk to you once in a while. So don't be afraid to drop a line every now and then--I'll do the same.)
God. I can't imagine what you're going through and what's more, I can't imagine what your cousin is going through. You're right, the death of a child or a baby never makes any sense.
I know nothing I say is going to make things better, but I just wanted to tell you that my thoughts are with you and your family, and I'll pray for your baby cousin.
That is so, utterly sad. I've wondered before what it would be like to lose a baby in the family. I can't imagine how much pain you and your family are going through right now, the only funeral I've ever been to was for someone I didn't really know, and I've never had to deal with death other then pets.
My condolences, and I hope you have enough strength to get through this.
