Hi, and thanks! I used to draw a lot, then stopped for a couple of years, so this is "wheeee! drawing!" phase.

this is stunning I love it !! I havent had a chance to get a tablet to work with yet ... are they hard to get used to? I would love to learn how to use a wacom tablet.

I nkow what you mean about proportions ... faces have always been really hard for me ...but this is beautiful!

*g* sneaky damn lj. Thanks and I'm glad you like it.

At the moment I'm all "eeeeh! Tablet-love". At first, there was a bit of transition to looking at the screen while drawing on the tablet, and getting the pen-brush back to the right position (I kept losing track of it), which was frustrating. It is much easier than using a mouse, but for some reason my brain was comfortable looking at the screen using a mouse but really wanted to look at the tablet and pen while drawing. Once that got sorted out the whole thing was much more straightforward.

I'm still getting used to the colour painting though.

Thank you - I'm very glad that some emotion came through in the painting.

I think it worked so well because you were quite subtle in the expressions.

Thank you!
At some point during the first hour of using the Wacom, something clicked and it became straightforward - probably because I was using the pencil option, and that was fairly easy (pencil & eraser only). Painting in colour is still a bit tricky because it doesn't always work the same as real paint.

What are you using your tablet for?
