Art: STReboot "Dark Reflections"
The yuletart reveals are up, and mawaridi painted this gorgeous portrait for me, which is very clever AU concept of 2 of my favourite characters from Angel (basically if Wes had become Illyria).

melisus requested McCoy, and said that she liked him with both Chekov, and Kirk, so I decided to paint all three. I also decided on a Mirror AU setting - mostly because I love those cheesy space-pirate costumes, but I deliberately changed them around a little and introduced some of the mirrorverse standards from the later Trek series (leather! stubble! spiky hair!).
Closeups of the faces at about 50%. They are a little more polished portraits than the Methos one from the recent not-a-tutorial. I deliberately scruffed up Chekov and McCoy for the Mirrorverse, and used actor reference photos rather screencaps to get a slightly different look.
Finally a very silly outtake! I hadn't decided exactly how the the Mirrorverse uniforms should look (only that I wanted to change them a bit from the original series), so I painted all three guys with bare chests, so I could get the dimensions right and could just try out various uniforms on a separate layer. Then I got silly and couldn't resist doing this version:
