Olivia's stomach was in knots as she sat in the sedan out front of Sloane's school, clutching the signed adoption papers tightly in her hands. She looked at Casey, her wide eyes betraying her fears even before she started speaking. "What if I'm not a good mother? Look at the example I had," she panicked.
