And people wonder why I still refuse to sign on, despite the fact that I'm struggling to keep my head above water to feed myself, and relying on friends for things like the washing machine. If I can hang in there for another 5 years, I'll get the old age pension (assuming they haven't abolished it or put up the age limits again in the meantime), and will be somewhat better off. Possibly.

I am simply not willing to jump through all those sadistic hoops.

I can totally understand that.

I'm just hanging in here at the Ministry of Magic until I can afford to retire. But every day it gets worse. This information from the Spending Review nearly made me cry.
