I am so glad I decided to watch the last fifteen minutes of this episode Thursday night. This is just a very short follow-up.

I love it. I totally choose to believe that this is what happened. I only watched their scene from the episode, but I love how insistent he was about saving her. He could have just given her to the doctors and walked away but he didn't. And she told him her name! I can't believe how excited I was over a 30 second scene but it spoke volumes. These two will always be drawn to each other no matter what the circumstance :)

I literally looked at your icon and freaked out when I realized it lol. How did I not see that? No one can tell me that's not their color now. That just can't be a coincidence(okay it can, but I refuse to believe that). I just love these two, and now I'm going to obsess over the purple shirt some more lol.

I wonder if it was just a coincidental accident by the wardrobe department that put Eric in that shirt or if the staff reads these crazy fangirls on tumblr and fan forums and know how we feel about purple lol

I don't know. I like to think it was on purpose. I'm so happy about it you have no idea. Now I'm imagining their AU life together lol. And I really like the idea of Lexie having tattoos, not as many as she had on the show, but a couple tattoos could work for me. Mark would probably find them hot lol

I was just speaking with luganforever about her appearance.

In the follow-up one-shot, Lexie will be in rehab and Mark will visit her on various Saturdays. Every Saturday that he visits, there will be subtle changes to Lexie - slowly becoming the Lexie we know - except she has all of the tattoos lol - and she is happier and happier to see this strange man who she is getting to know every time she sees him. The dreads will eventually be gone - I love Lexie's hair and I want it back lol - and the piercings will be gone but she'll still have all of the tattoos. I agree - I think Mark will love them.

I agree about her hair, I want the dreads gone but I like the red. I love the idea of him visiting her, Mark is not the type to get attached to patients which is why everyone was freaking out over that scene. The fact that he is trying so hard to save this girl he doesn't even know. I hope you do write him visiting her and them becoming friends(and more). I don't see Lexie being a surgeon in this one, maybe a psychiatrist?

That's interesting. I like that choice :) I'm always trying to write Lexie as not a surgeon/doctor lately in my stories. I love imagining her as so many other things. Mark will be visiting her more and more in rehab and he still doesn't entirely know why. They will go for walks and Mark will teach her how to play chess and they'll talk and get to know one another. I'm still trying to figure out Mark's backstory without Addison in it. Any ideas?

Well, Mark and Derek are still friends and the one thing I wish they'd explore more is how their childhood friendship developed. I like to think that they were like brothers and considering how unhappy Derek seems in the AU maybe Mark came to Seattle to cheer up his brother or Addison's baby isn't Derek's but no one said it had to be Mark's :) Maybe Mark somehow found out the baby isn't Derek's and came to tell him. I don't know, but I'm assuming he still has to be connected to Derek in some way. I'd rather they be friends than the Addison drama.

Yeah... I really don't want to touch on the Addison baby at all. I love the idea that Derek and Mark are still best friends. Maybe the baby could be Derek's but he has fallen completely out of love with Addison and is only with her because of the baby and Mark talks with him on the phone and hears how depressed he is and comes out to see him. I love that idea! You're brilliant!

As long as the baby's not Mark's I don't care. I would rather it not be Derek's either because the guy looked fucking miserable, and he and Mer need to get together and find Zola :) But I think Mark would go to Seattle to try to cheer him up or maybe convince him to come back to New York. Maybe Mama Shepherd sent him lol

OH MY GOD! MAMA SHEPHERD! I love that! She would send one son to get the other and both sons would return to NY but one would be bringing a girl with him :)

Yup, I love Mama Shepherd. OMG could you imagine this Lexie with Mama Shepherd. I like to think Mrs. Shepherd takes in strays because she took in Mark, I could see her doing the same with Lexie, and Lexie misses her mother, and it would be perfect. I'm getting ahead of myself lol

Wasn't Mrs. Shepherd a nurse? I imagine Mark wouldn't tell her Lexie's complete story but Mrs. Shepherd would see the old track marks on Lexie's arms and figure it out and Lexie would be so ashamed and embarrassed but be so surprised when Mrs. Shepherd doesn't care.

Yea, I think she was. I could see that happening too. It would be amazing to see Lexie transform from the "junkie" into the Lexie we know. Chyler is amazing by the way, they really do under utilize her talent on that show.

Chyler is so amazing - I just love her so much. She is an amazing actress and if she was on my show, I would take full advantage - just like I would if I had two actors with such insane chemistry like Eric and Chyler have when together.

Eric and Chyler have amazing chemistry. The only reason they keep trying to ruin it is because Mark and Lexie were never meant to last on the show, but we all saw their amazing chemistry and couldn't get enough. Honestly, I don't know how the M/L fans that still watch do it, but that's just a testament to their awesome chemistry. That's the only reason people are still rooting for them
