Cardamom iced tea.. neat idea, and even if you just dump the pods in the jar, easy to fish out or strain. A bouquet garni of compatible herbs and spices would be cheaper than using expensive Tazo tea bags as well.
By the way, Neldam's Bakery (Telegraph and 34th) makes a good cardamom sweet bread. Sometimes they fruitcake it with weird gelatinized things inside, sometimes not, but either way with some egg batter and skillet cooked it makes for some nice french toast, not needing any toppings. Of course, with your knead-free method you could probably make your own...
