I lucked out and got a bag of sweet potato pieces off the "scratch & dent"/discount produce shelf at the Berkeley Bowl over the weekend and have been loving them roasted with coconut oil and Penzey's garam masala. There's a batch in the oven now that smells sooo good

You don't get your garam masala in bulk from Vik's? It's the bee's knees. Seriously, some of it goes into half of the dishes here, and it costs almost nothing at Vik's. Bike yourself down there, cook with it, and you'll never go back to the name brand canisters again.

(I admit to keeping the old canisters because they are much more convenient to pour from, but I refill them with the good stuff)
