The whole "open carry" movement, where people want to carry guns openly -- albeit unloaded guns -- confuses me. What's the point of having an unloaded gun with you? And even as foolhardy as I am, slapping SUVs that run red lights on Market, I would actively avoid people carrying guns around. It's just common sense.

Everybody was armed, which is precisely why this thing happened. :-)
