Finally getting a chance to comment even though I read this pretty much as soon as it was posted. I loved the slow progression here and the subtle ways in which Lewis and Hathaway took care of each other. The final part really got to me. It's not often people address the consequences of the age difference with such insight. Lynn's reaction is also spot on considering the circumstances. Excellent read, thank you.

I absolutely LOVED this - the whole series is just brilliant. The progression of their relationship, all the little details that add up to a partnership, their conversations... I teared up in a couple spots - especially when James was denied access to Robbie at the hospital - but the ending. OMG, the ending killed me. I am a gooey mess.
