10th August 2015 is fast approaching and with it the posting of Summer Challenge 2015 creations. We thought it was an appropriate time to check in with our participants to see how everyone is doing and to provide some preliminary info about posting.

Like Lewis and Hathaway, I am still afloat.

I have three linked drabbles written - the Magnum Opus may be done if you run the challenge next year.

August 10 onwards is fine for me.

Glad the 10th still works for you even though you've written nothing yet, but there's still a month or so to go :) I haven't written a damned word either!

I'm still on board. I'm clinging to a life preserver, but I'm still on board.

Will I have something by 10 August? God, I hope so. I've been away on holidays, and the muse has been MIA for some time, so I'm yet to make a start. However, Muriel, the temp replacement muse (who knew they had a temping agency?), is making some attempt at musing, and life in general is falling back into routine so the possibility of writing is increasing daily.

I'm still okay with the 10 August date, but if my name could be dropped to the bottom of the list, I'd be very grateful. If it's looking like a no-go, I'll let you know by 1 August. Cheers, Som.

Yay for Muriel the temporary muse - that would be an awesome idea for a fic actually :) We'll be putting up a post later in the week for people to pick dates they want to post so you should be able to pick a later date then.

Definitely!

Yes; I'm still hoping to write something new for this, but if I don't get that done I already have an unposted fic ready to go.

• Would you prefer we extend the deadline and start posting later than the planned 10th of August?
Makes no difference to me - see above.

I'm still on board. I expect to still be writing up to the last minute as per my usual modus operandi. It doesn't matter to me when that last minute is - m.o. will remain unchanged.

Heh. You're MO sounds like mine as well. I wait until the very last minute and then I have to pull something out quite quickly :) Glad you're still on board.
