Oh heartbreaking scene. I admit that I'm a bit tripped up by the "marking" thing, because I still find the concept a bit porn-tastic and immature, like... you can never belong to someone because of a bruise... but they are in high school, and their half-said things and trying to fumble their way through keeping the three of them the way they are - just perfect.
