I'm so glad we get Dean's POV now, it's so intimate and painful and lovely to see things from his perspective, to see what he's gone through. I think one of the things that resonated most powerfully for me was the part where he explained why he was so obedient to John--that he felt like he had to be, that he owed it to him to be. So heartbreaking.
And, oh, I'm so glad he had Sam, Sam who was so accepting, Sam who never messed up his pronouns. YES.

The way Dean relates to Darla, the way he thinks about her, as another person. As something standing in the way. And all the people he's tried to connect with, tried to get help from with mixed results.
