Inspired by poems, this time.

Okay, so I read a book of poems by Mao Tse-Tung. I think he took over China halfway through the last century, but, you know, water under the bridge. A few of the lines jumped out at me, and I kept track of them, so that I could mess around with the whole inspiration thing after the fact.

Holy cow, I love the style of this one so much. Oh, the places you’ll go… And such is the nature of it that I can’t really pull anything out because it’s all so incredible connected; I’d feel like I was picking apart a tapestry. I adore that so much. But, to be constructive here…

I love the ham-to-cards bit; something to be consumed, something dead and useful, to a game that you always play alone. And as any Whedon fan will tell you, “We are always alone.” He’s funny in commentaries. Moving on ( ... )
