But I have shipped them in a way since the Fudomine arc, when Kaido defends Ryoma (in the anime) before Ibu and Kamio. And he gives him the cap after he's been injured. Oh, the look on Ryoma's face. And Kaido's lips. And the failed scowl in the Rokkaku (?) arc when Ryoma told him "Sorry but you won't be able to play today, senpai". And the posterior loss of memory for saving him from Momo's ball (and falling on top of him -- I think he lost this memory after a massive loss of blood due to the nosebleed). And his tears in the end. Aaaaaw.
I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I did. I remember I first read it one night in Kyoto, very late, and went to bed with a silly, happy smile, as big as my face.
