Ok, people tend to look at me like I'm crazy when I directly blame the weather on George Bush, but has anyone else noticed that global warming is really ostensibly and obviously happening?  And that an elementary school education in science and some rudimentary critical thinking skills indicate it to be the most critical issue to human life on ( Read more... )

Global warming is undeniably critical, and people's ignorance (or willful disregard) of it is mind-boggling.

I find that humanity's widest-used tactic when confronting huge problems like this one is to stick their fingers in their ears and say "LA LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU."

Which is really kind of upsetting.

(Let me know if your schedule ever takes you to Colorado, eh? We'll hang out and try to not get eaten by bears or a cougar.)

Pikas only sneak into your car when you leave the door open and bum free rides. Unless they're in groups. Then they'll shank you.

You know that they've found a rise in global temperature on many planets in the solar system, not just Earth?

I'm not saying it isn't a huge problem.

I'm just saying it's a problem that's a lot bigger than George Bush. Maybe it's not even (completely) our fault.
