Parenting - and love - make us so very vulnerable. It's terrifying, really. :)

One of the things I deeply resent about the BDM is that it can turn a piece of Wash/Zoe fluff sad. :/

I love how Wash is so totally in love with Zoe. And how they're both so scared, but willing to try anyway. They would've made great parents.

It would have been interesting to see if and how Whedon would have fit at least Zoe being pregnant into the series. With that little scene from Hearts of Gold, he did sort of add the possibility that he could go there. Ah, well, gives me a springboard to spin out little AU stories in my head...
