I just attempted three different techniques to post the proper video, replacing the characters directly in the link.
It previews fine, showing the one visible here:

But at the moment of posting, this video is put in place of the one I wanted.
Looking at it, though, since I'd never seen it before... it seems to be a Russian statement that LiveJournal has been hijacked. The behavior lends credence to this notion.
This is happening at post time, not play time; the code is actually changed so that during editing, you see this hacked video's code.
Any Russian-speakers around to take a look?
