Beauty, Courtesy of Pink Floyd

I am not a Pink Floyd fan per se, though I'm familiar with and have enjoyed some of their pieces. But this is a thing of beauty, in my opinion:

Shakespeare's Sonnet 18 as interpreted by Pink Floyd's David Gilmore. The video can be seen (and heard!) below, but the lyrics of the sonnet and some background are available at the link. You're probably ( Read more... )

I think you put up the wrong video.

Not intentionally. I've never seen the one LJ substituted (an ad for themselves) for the one I posted. Very peculiar - and very unlikable.

Perhaps they have a new video policy: You can embed any video you want, as long as it's a LiveJournal ad.

I will attempt to replace it.

I've never seen that happen before. Did Youtube yank the video you tried to link to?

No. The DeHavelle version of this post is fine.

I just attempted three different techniques to post the proper video, replacing the characters directly in the link.

It previews fine, showing the one visible here:

But at the moment of posting, this video is put in place of the one I wanted.

Looking at it, though, since I'd never seen it before... it seems to be a Russian statement that LiveJournal has been hijacked. The behavior lends credence to this notion.

This is happening at post time, not play time; the code is actually changed so that during editing, you see this hacked video's code.

Any Russian-speakers around to take a look?
