Yes, that's just exactly right.

And of course, it is not about "assault weapons." As media and political personalities continue to reveal, they are fearful of any guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens.

Oddly, the same fearful people resist attempts to affect use of guns by actual criminals. It's only regular citizens they are willing to take action against.

The NRA, for example, has long supported more punishment (and more enforcement!) for use of guns in crimes. That's racist, they're told.

*Chuckles* That is an especially astute observation, about the low-riders and their saggy jeans. I hope it has a positive effect of getting a few to pull their danged pants up!

A good mix of insight and humor. Is Homo Slackass-Erectus common on the West Coast? I have not notice that particular too often out this way on the East Coast.
