He's the writer -- one of hundreds or thousands -- who is actually writing the papers for some students. He's been doing it for about a decade, and he's ready to retire, he says.Of all of the research papers, doctoral theses, essays, and various other writings "Ed Dante" has done for cheating students, it intrigues me most that many of those ( Read more... )

I hope all those example emails were by ESL students, because I can hardly comprehend why someone would write so much worse than they spoke.

Having worked harder than most students (at least in high school), I'm rather sore that these students got as far as they did. Unless they never submit their own writing, their teachers/profs should've figured out they were cheating. 'Course, in the biggest classes, the profs might have trouble remembering individual personae.

From what I've seen, I would be sadly unsurprised to find them speaking English, after a fashion, as their only language.

It's not entirely ignorance. It is trendy to communicate like that. Look at the popularity of "I Can Has ..." on many sites, and the distorted communication those sites have given rise to.

You think the students are trying to be cute so the pro essay writer will take pity on them?

Wow. Just...wow.

As a sixth grade teacher in the inner city, I don't think I'd have seen this guy's work, but I still honestly had no idea that there even was such an industry.
