I don't know that Hsu is funneling Chinese government money into the US election process -- so far, there are indications that he is not. The source of that $40 million has been identified and so far does not look like the People's Republic of China.

And I am highly confident that Peter Paul's $1.9 million was not PRC-sourced.

But those are past felons; there seems to be a good supply of new ones, such as Mr. Jinnah.
