Usama bin Ladin's voice has been certified by the CIA as his. Oddly, they apparently did this, and had a transcript out, before the new video even appeared on As Sahab, the al Qaida propaganda arm. The beard is real, it's just the rest of him that's fake.

I don't know if you ever saw this one; it's from a series of comedy poems about animals, rather than a special for OBL.

I still am disinclined to accept the rhetoric as it is uncharacteristic, but if the CIA says it's him, then who am I to argue?

On the other hand, I am curious why each page of the pdf file is a different size? Is that supposed to lend authenticity to it?

The real truth -- that there are groups of people who are really working hard to slaughter us, and that President Bush has been trying to protect Americans -- doesn't fit into their world view.

Makes me wonder whether he really thinks that way about global warming or is just putting on a show.

Speaking of which, I must confess to a very tasteless idea popping into my head when I heard that bin Ladin would release another video: the idea of him making a music video. Maybe karaoke. I even imagined what song he'd sing. Let's just say it's by Right Said Fred.
