Herman Cain, someone I've been impressed with for a while, apparently aced the early GOP debate in South Carolina last night. He converted 97% of a focus group to Cain supporters (one already was), and received more than half of an online poll despite the field being split among so many choices.
The media response has begun. This article talks about his "numerous financial ties to politicians."
Sounds scary, right? Could Herman Cain be beholden to unions, or George Soros, or Goldman Sachs, or any such giant-scale politician purchasers?
No. Cain's "financial ties" turn out to be the fact that HE has donated money to politicians and causes. That's it.
Every aspect of the record "exposed" in this article looks positive to me.
