34th Order

It has been theorized then when we move between worlds we bring some small fragment of the way our world works with us. Without it we would be at the whims of the worlds we were on; the mage helplessly in thrall to the world that is without magic, and the dead who yet live would not be able to travel for fear of arriving to a world where they ( Read more... )

I see no reason to let an occasion such as this put a halt to such research.

I would be inclined to agree, although, I'm afraid my own work will have to wait until she's our guests have left.

However, I would like to talk with you concerning a couple other projects that I'm interested in ARTEMIS exploring when things are back to normal.

It is a possibility, but without having access to more worlds than merely this one, it cannot possibly be tested to any sort of satisfaction.

Ah, but was it truly the intent of those who created this place to make it hospitably for all who came here?

Of course.

So. The thing is, the ways that our worlds work is what we bring. So, basically, what we bring with us as we travel is our perception and past, yeah? But we can apply that to any single interaction that we have, especially when we're introduced to a new place. What could be changed about this one? Especially since there are so many different pasts and perceptions.

What would the cost be to recreate a very particular room within this City?

Particular rooms are particular.

[ooc: So, hey, in case I've forgotten, have you dropped us a line about this? If not, what's up?]

As I can well imagine. The one I have mind is... a unique place, even within my own world. A place of the past.

((I haven't, but basically, he's looking to recreate the Chamber of Repose in the City. Or, more accurately, he's wondering what the cost of having it recreated would be. If you want/need more details, I would be glad to drop you a line.))
