[Preamble is just not going to cut it for either of them today, apparently.]

You don't think they'll really be able to do anything to our people, do you?

It's all American models here. I'll be by in a little bit, alright?

[True to his word, he's knocking lightly on the door twenty minutes on, after a trip to the hardware store.]

Great...

[His drone sibling goes to answer the door first -- where did he even come from?! -- so Estonia puts a hand over his face, trying to shove him away, while he opens the door, just a crack.] Give me a moment. [There's a little bit of typical sibling quarreling before he finally gets the drone to go away and he can open the door fully.]

Sorry about that.

[Lithuania looks amused, if anything. but it quickly turns to worry.]

Maybe you should lock the drones in the basement so they don't open the door for anyone who happens to knock.

[Also, offering weapons, yay!]

Are we allowed to do that? I mean, this kid makes Läti seem perfectly calm and self-contained.

[It's just idle mutterings, though, as he looks over the weapons.]

People do that sort of thing all the time. They do get out every day, though.

Good to know, I guess.

[He glances up at his sort-of-brother.] Do you know the person you were instructed to kill?

No. I could ask the drones, but I still haven't decided what to do. Do you?

I think I saw her in school once, but I could be wrong. I haven't decided, either.

Everything you said on the phone was logical and--it made sense, it's just--

[It's more an emotional reaction to consider it, really.]

I know, Leedu. I know. I was the one that said it and I'm still second-guessing the wisdom of my logicistics. I don't know how far to trust this place.

If I knew I could trust that they weren't bluffing, this would be easier.

Yes, I know. [He's quiet a moment, staring at the weapon he's holding now.]

We've been through too much to let something happen to them.

Anyone who would blame you if you chose to do it doesn't understand the situation.
