It's been quite some time since my last update. I've lost a lot of my interest in livejournal... but I do check it daily to see how the outside world is operating. I'm proud of myself for leaving the ftm community a week or so ago. I already feel less irritated.

we can give it a shot. The wedding is on the Saturday... so we could try for maybe the sunday? Like I said, I can't make any promises - and I won't be able to get around once I'm there so you might have to come and meet me. I'll be in the blackstone area.

i can't believe how different our undergrad requirements were. 118 pages! dude! and mine did not make it to the library :( so sad.

congrats on finishing, my friend. welcome to MA hell ;) I'm kidding, it's amazing.

i'd like to read your thesis. i don't have a lot of time to read it now, but perhaps I will beg you to email me a copy in a few months...

also...are you going to be gone for the ASA conference when I get to TO on the 6? I'd really like to see you and Megan if that's possible... (one of my committee memberes, Ann Travers, will be at that conference- she does a lot of work on trans folk in lesbian softball leagues...what panel are you sitting on?)

Well, my undergrad thesis requirement was actually 60-80 pages, and generally more traditional in methodology. Of course, I can't ever do anything the way it's supposed to be done, haha. I'm sure that'll come back to bite me in my MA.

I'll always have a copy, so when you're ready, send me an email :)

How long will you be in Ontario? Megan and I leave the 11th and get back late on the 14th. So we'll be around when you come in on the 6th. My parents live around the London area, so if you're around later in August, Megan and I can always make the trip out that way too.

I just searched the ASA conference proceedings for Travers' and didn't find her, so I'm assuming she's just attending rather than presenting. If she'd like to meet up, you can forward her my email address if you'd like. It's always great to have a network of people working on trans issues. If she'd like to meet, I'm on the Regular session panel for Teaching Sociology, which is at 12:30 on Sunday at the Hilton.

I'm in Ontario for a month...so we should be able to see one another. Glen and I are in TO the 6-8th. I was hoping to have a gay drink or something on the 6th or 7th. Are you in Toronto yet? I can't remember if you live there yet or not...

I thought Ann was attending the conference and I doubt she'd go if she wasn't presenting. perhaps I am mistaken and it's a differnet conference around the same time...meh.
