Ok, Elliot/Jordan people, don't hate me too much for this temporary digression... - I like the inclusion of the word 'temporary' in there. It gives me comfort.
Again, you have me out of my OTP-zone and grudgingly loving it. The opening part with Carla's thoughts on the baby and Turk are so beautifully sad and perfectly in character (all I seem to write in feedback on your stories is gushing about people being 'in character'...but it thrills me when someone can do that so I will continue to gush in future feedbacks if that's OK with you). This, especially, made me smile: he had the nerve to go and make it worse by doing that suggestive belly rub thing that she’d already told him at least five times made her feel really fat.
Elliot's descriptions of Carla's finer points and Carla's affectionate acceptance of these was very sweet. And, of course, the kiss to break the discomfort that Elliot was feeling was brilliant.
And I could picture so very clearly the whole scene where they exited the elevator. A perfect Scrubs scene.
