Livejournal Questions

This actually has nothing to do with the recent drama.

I have a confession to make. I'm a genius. But I'm really tragically stupid also.

THINGS ON LIVEJOURNAL I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND. )

I love how you claim to be a genius, and yet there is a fail on html. :D

*tickles you*

I do not understand flangst, either.

Oh, ha, I thought you meant because I fail at putting a header on this journal which is also html which I am tragically just too thick to ever understand.

how to put on a header. And why everyone can figure it out but me.
Use this tutorial. I swear it does everything in baby steps and makes it really simple. *I* could do it and I am an HTML moron!

That's all I've got time for... (and I really don't know the answer to most of the others!)

Oh and I don't understand how you don't understand betas... *is confused*

I don't understand how to...demand what I need out of a beta. This is a personal problem; I'm not very good at asking for favors for some things ( ... )

Aaaaah, I see. I'm very lucky, since when I first asked around for a beta, the wonderful kathyh volunteered and I've never wanted or needed another (except when she's been away of course, but that's different). Apart from just the grammar and spelling, she'll always pick up on all the places where I've not bothered to explain something properly, or given up, and usually has ideas and suggestions that are invaluable. And yes, it does often feel awkward to send a chapter round for the second time, but she really doesn't seem to mind - and is also good at saying if she's busy. I think we have found a good balance. Dunno what I'd do if I had to find someone else...

Hee.

-where everyone gets the equipment to do all the icons and everything they do. Seems to me that stuff costs a fortune.

They illegally download a version of Photoshop off of Kazaa. *eg*

-GIP

Gratuitous Icon Post!

-what Due South is.

A Canadian show I never really watched about a Canadian mountie played by Paul Gross. Also included Callum Keith Rennie (Leoben on BSG) as the dicky American copper dude.

That's probably all I can help you with. I still find putting up headers and all that coding stuff a big headache.

I guess it surprises me just how many people do illegal dls. I'm glad I'm such a technological dimwit or else I'd probably be doing it too.

WOW. I always thought it must be, "graphic in progress" (as opposed to WIP). But that always confused me, as it seemed lots of icons posted under that title where finished. I AM SO DUMB, omg.

It's about a mountie? cool. I don't know who Paul Gross is. Leoben scares the shit outta me.

THanks for helping me out!

The first two seasons had a different DACD, seen in this icon, next to the Paul Gross Mountie.

Both of them are called Ray.

It's complicated.

But the important thing to know is that DEARLORDPAULGROSSISHOT.

Also, a gateway drug to curling.

HA!

So, this is like a buddy cop show? Maybe I'll give it a try.

Curling is WEIRD.

Flangst? Is that friends-list angst? (For real, I have no idea what it is. Can we be stupid together?)

I had to go look it up on urban dictionary or something. I THINK it means fluff+angst. But I thought fluff and angst were kinda opposed? I do like my angst more light hearted then people being suicidal and cutting themselves, but I just don't get the ramifications of this term.

AND YES, DEAR GOD. *is relieved* :o)

Maybe it's like you read a story about Buffy and Angel buy a couch. Only it's written by a 12 year old who thinks buying a couch is all fluffy and romantic and making eyes till the salesman is sick ( ... )

Knowing you are doomed to repeat the process till you find a couch you can both live with.

HA. That is HILARIOUS. Even if that's not what flangst means, that NEEDS to be a genre.

-how people keep up with stuff like which new cat macro is funniest.
I get a new notification of that everytime a kitten upgrades my RAM.

There's...probably a cat macro of that, too.
