I did not think you were going to say Martha Stewart looked like Connor.
You should have gone with a Martha/Darla parallel!
Meanwhile, I am busy, busy, busy revising my IWRY story. Should I send it you in pieces or wait? I'm worried that I won't make it on time (oh the tension).
When's your due date? Let me know when it is and I'll then I can know whether you should send it in pieces.
I'm FREAKING OUT about mine. I had an idea in like September when I signed up, but I flaked on it halfway through, and now I'm trying to decide whether to just finish that up, or to do the new idea I got. I don't have time for the new idea but I'm so *worried* about the old half finished one, because have you been *reading* these fics? Dammit they're so freakin' *good*! It's nice but very intimidating. I should probably stop reading them.
Okay sorry for the spaz.
I don't think Martha and Darla look anything alike. Then again nor do Connor and Martha. Except the haircut...
Give it a little longer. I can beta in a day, if that's what you really need--I work well under pressure--but yeah, there has to be enought time for you to revise it. But my point is, don't worry about me having enough time, do what you need and I'll work with you.
I always meant to pimp your Fanmix fic. I don't think it got near the attention it deserves. I mean, I fucking loved it and I've seen two eps of Supernatural. I'll pimp it some day soon. Not that that'll necessarily bring people flooding, but it should be pimped!
Yeah, I think--know--that if I'd posted it in parts it would have gotten more FB. Though really it's hard to say since so much of the response I got on that fic was before it was actually *done*. And the thing is though that in a weird way the fact that I think it's my best fic but certainly not my most widely read one was a good learning/affirming thing for me, in that it felt good to just feel OK about it--knowing that it wouldn't have the kind of draw as other things.
I mean, I've posted short, porny fic with the same pairing and gone into pages of comments, but with something longer...you know, people get intimidated or something.

I know what you mean there. I guess that's why I've just never really been disappointed by the fb I've gotten. Some things, I was kinda iffy about, and they got good fb. A thing or two, I've been really *pleased* with, and the comment number hasn't been as good. But I was already happy with the outcome myself, and I was alright with not needing other people to pat me on the back.
I do think longer things are intimidating. I often put them aside to read later and then don't get around to it for a long long time. Posting in parts does help.
Thanks for pimping IWRY. The stories have been fantastic so far, haven't they? Ok, I'm a little behind on my reading...must remedy that today and get all caught up.
I'm behind on reading too...last year I was gonna save them all up for when I had lots of free time and I ended up not reading most of them. So I'm trying to do better this year. I'm glad, because already several have been so fantabulous.
Thanks for handling it all. It's going so swimmingly.

Martha and Darla don't look alike, but they both have the ice queen bitch act down pat. Seriously, I could see them switching places.

The self-pimping, hmmmmmmm. I would probably pimp the Fanmix fic, but I haven't had the brain power to articulate that properly yet.

And thanks, lady friend. :)

They do have similar hair parts! That's what I was thinking of.
