Oh my god, I don't even watch this show but this was hysterical. The Hobbes reference made me cry with laughter. Well done!

The producers and stuff are actually characters in one ep. By which I don't mean they play people; people play them (though some play themselves). Eric Kripke the creator gets shot; Misha Collins the actor dies. I don't think they had Ben Edlund, though. It was the most meta thing to ever happen in front of my face; this fic just didn't feel too far off the map.

No. Way. I don't care about Sam or Dean or any of it, but I would love to see that. Every show should have a writers' episode!

Though the other thing they do is create a character who is writing the show as a series of novels. That is, he is a modern prophet who writes their reality as it happens (believing it is fiction, until he meets them). And the writer has fans. There are conventions. Sam and Dean go to them. And the writer guy is this total loser who says stuff like, "If I'd've known it was real I'd never have written that one where you had to fight a racist truck!"

I'm only telling you these things because no one told me these things. They went on and on about cars and hot boys, but they did not tell me the meta.
