You are so mean for updating when I'm supposed to be studying for a final! Though I guess I brought it upon myself, what with the checking-LJ at all, and *ahem* maybe the recent harassment of your beta. ;)
Actually, what I meant to say was thank you for updating.
So, anyway, on this chapter: My favorite Buffy lines are definitely “You really listen to me, don’t you.” because it says so much about her past relationships, the kind of response she's come to expect from men, and how she's really starting to notice that things are different with him; and if you get in the way of mine, I’ll kick your ass. If you give me up to them, I’ll beat my way out, burn them all down, and kick your ass. If I die . . .” She shrugged. “I’ll come back to life, find you-and kick your ass.” because, well, hee!
And I love your Angel in this - how he's so sweet and concerned in the first part and then is just so good at putting on the Angelus-act when it matters
( ... )
You set us back weeks. Weeks. I think she's still recovering.
is just so good at putting on the Angelus-act
Glad you think so. Angelus is hard to write. Partly because every time he shows up he seems different (my favorite is AtS S4 Angelus). Luckily, I don't think I need to worry too much about getting Angelus Angelus--Angel just has to act demony.
You're so good at making these little secondary characters interesting and vivid.
Thank you. OCs freak me, but I had fun with Ubel.
Cliffhanger-y!
I know! I don't like cliffhangers unless you can turn the page/click and get the next chapter (then I like them because you get that naughty "omg I shouldn't be reading the next chapter because I have sleep/eat/get married/pee/accept my Academy Award/shower my smelly self but I'm going to keep on reading anyway" feeling). But I also don't like super long chapters, so it happened.

Uh oh!I just love the suspense and Angel showing Buffy the other side of who he is. Is there more to come soon (I hope)?

I have six more chapters written so far, but they're with my beta. So it depends on her (I just love blaming other people.)
